Music Publishing and Typesetting

Over many years of preparing my own scores for performance and publication (or, as a conductor, preparing other people’s for performance) I have gained a great deal of experience in typesetting and editing music, and I am now able to offer a comprehensive set of publishing services. This includes music typesetting using one of the music publishing industry’s standard packages (Sibelius), editing and/or proofreading music that has already been typeset, designing support materials such as covers, flyers, banners and even websites and printing and binding services. I can print your scores and parts to the highest quality for rehearsals and performances and recent projects include printing all the performance materials for Lucy Pankhurst’s ‘Reflection Connections’ project, performance parts for a workshop with the London Sinfonietta and printing the scores and parts for Woodbridge Excelsior Band’s commission for the Butlins Brass Band Contest, ‘Lucid Perspectives’. I don’t normally publish/sell other people’s music, mainly because I don’t have the time, although I would be happy to make an exception in the case of a high quality piece of original music – a notable example being the Edward Gregson Composer’s Edition Works recently added to the site.

If you need a work preparing for publication, editing, printing or just checking over, please get in touch to discuss what you need. Rates for this are extremely reasonable and are even competitive for students looking to achieve a professional finish to their work. Remember that I can support your work with a whole range of design services using Adobe Creative Suite to create the highest quality design and print work. I also work as a freelance web designer, and can both design and host your website for very reasonable rates through my Picture Engine brand – click HERE to find out more about the web design services I can offer..
